The Safe Haven Grace Worship Center’s lead minister and leaders ARE NOT licensed social workers, clinical psychologists, or attorneys! But, we can provide referral lists for any specialized services you and/or your family may need outside our scope and abilities.
We ARE an educational resource and tool for you and your family to utilize to try and fulfill your potential and have the best life you can have while on this earth.
What you do with the resources and information provided or linked to is up to you.
#2 Confidentiality Disclaimer
As ordained clergy, the lead minister firmly stands behind that The Safe Haven Grace Worship Center be a safe and confidential place to be open and honest about any needed resources and tools to overcome an issue in a person’s life. That being said, Tennessee Code Annotated 37-1-403(i) (see Appendix F) requires all persons to report suspected cases of child abuse or neglect.
But, our lead minister will not be reporting anything to any state agency unless it is an immediate Life or Death situation or true child/elder/ abuse, neglect, or DV concerns. We feel that as long as you are making a good faith effort to learn different and more positive tools to better your life and your family’s–it is not a true reportable issue. We validate, respect, and will even help you advocate for your right to lead your life and your family according to your beliefs, traditions, and culture within the parameters of the law.
If a state agency or court system mandates you into one of our workshops or long term series of classes (ex: DV, anger management, parenting) we will require a Release of Information Form from our client on what information we can release other than basic confirmation of participation/completion of said class. We will have to follow the law and any court orders, but will do our best to protect your privacy and confidential information you may disclose while utilizing our services.
